Jubilee Party’s Embu Governor, Woman Rep aspirants decamp to UDA

- DP Ruto said Mr. Kathuri had resolved to back UDA’s candidate in the race, Cecily Mbarire.
- The DP further announced that, Susan Nyaga, the Jubilee candidate in the Woman Representative race, had also dropped her bid.
Jubilee
Party candidate in the Embu gubernatorial race Emilio Kathuri has decamped to the Deputy President William Ruto-led
United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ahead of next week's General Election.
Taking
to Twitter to make the announcement on Friday, DP Ruto also said Mr. Kathuri
had resolved to back UDA’s candidate in the race, Cecily Mbarire.
The
DP further announced that, Susan Nyaga, the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led Jubilee
Party candidate in the Woman Representative race, had also dropped her bid.
Ms.
Nyaga will, similarly, be rooting for UDA’s Pamela Njoki.
“The
Hustler Nation wave is real! Embu Jubilee governor candidate Emilio Kathuri has
quit the race and now supports UDA’s Cecily Mbarire,”
wrote the DP.
“Susan Nyaga (Jubilee) has also abandoned her quest for Women Rep seat in favour of Pamela Njoki.”
