The Jubilee Party has once again, in an attempt to clean house, moved to de-whip Members of Parliament allied to Deputy President William Ruto and his United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party from various House committees.

The MPs on the chopping board this time round are; William Kipkemoi Kisang (Marakwet West), Japhet Kareke Mbiuki (Maara), Catherine Waruguru (Laikipia), David Gikaria (Nakuru Town East), and Katoo ole Metito ( Kajiado South).

MP Kisang was discharged from the Departmental Committee on Communication, Information and Technology, Mbiuki from the Environmental committee, Gikaria from the Lands committee, ole Metito from the Defence committee.

The legislators now have 7 days to respond to the move to de-whip them before they’re officially removed.

The notices to discharge the legislators was sent by National Assembly Majority Whip Emmanuel Wangwe to Speaker Justin Muturi and Clerk Michael Sialai.
