JKUAT student stabbed to death

JKUAT student stabbed to death

A student from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) main campus was on Friday night stabbed to death.

Tim Sydney Aomba is reported to have alighted in Juja from a meet-up in Nairobi’s Central Business District and was headed to his house near the institution when the incident occurred.

Speaking to Citizen Digital after viewing the body of the deceased, JKUAT student body official Denver Cockey said Tim was accosted and stabbed near the heart by thugs who probably wanted to steal from him.

“He took a path in between one of the apartments known as Skyline and the Coca Cola depot and that is where he was attacked,” said Denver.

“After he was stabbed, he tried to run away but could not get far as he was bleeding profusely so he fell in front of a shop owned by some woman who paid a nearby boda boda rider to rush him to the JKUAT students’ hospital. Unfortunately, he had already lost too much blood by then so he was declared dead on arrival,” he added.

The body of the deceased was moved to the Kenyatta University Morgue awaiting a post mortem scheduled for Tuesday.

His belongings were taken to Juja Police Station. Area OCS, Ateya Gisemba, however did not pick our calls for clarification on the matter.

Tim played for his school’s American Football team, the JKUAT Sparrows, besides being part of the Kenyan American Football Team.
