I did not get a cent: Kisumu priest claims life is in danger after visiting DP Ruto

Head of Coptic Holy Ghost Church Rev. Father John Pesa now claims his life is in danger following his recent trip to the home of Deputy President William Ruto in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu County.

Father Pesa, addressing a press conference on Wednesday, said he has been receiving anonymous phone calls asking him to give away any money he could have come with from the trip.

The priest however denied having been given a single coin by the DP saying those spreading such rumors are malicious.

“They told me to produce the money Ruto gave me the failure to which they would kill me. I wonder why someone would threaten to kill me yet I did not get a cent from the visit. I did not see any money,” he said.

He added that he has since notified the police and recorded a statement over the threats to his life.

Father Pesa added that he was honored to have been invited to the home of the DP to pray for him saying he could not turn down the offer.

The cleric also laughed off claims that he had no knowledge of the Bible verses after an online video went viral where he made reference to King Solomon defeating Goliath instead of King David.

In mitigation, the priest said he is now of old age having ministered the word for long and the error should be taken with a pinch of salt.
