Handbag Grabber Shot Dead In Nairobi

The Thursday evening incident occured at the Kariobangi roundabout.

The woman is said to have raised the alarm after the incident prompting police officers to act with speed and pursue the robber.

The police recovered a home-made gun and a knife  from the suspect.

The woman said that the handbag had Ksh 4,650, a phone and other personal effects.

The body was taken to the city mortuary.

According to police, cases of robbery in the area are on the rise with robbers on motor cycles terrorise women.

MAN STABBED

This comes even as police are conducting an investigation into an incident where a man was found dead outside his house in the same estate.

The 27 year old was stabbed on Thursday night by unknown gang that took off after the incident.

According to residence, a heated argument ensued between and unkown people only for him to be found dead hours later.

The motive of the killers remain unknown.

Cases of robbery attacks and killing in Kariobangi have been on the rise.

In 2013, two police were shot dead by armed robbers while pursuing criminals in the area.

Residences are now calling on the Ministry of Defence and the government to look into the state of insecurity in the estate.
