Five Mukaa Boys High School students charged with arson, freed on Ksh.500K bail each

Five students of Mukaa Boys High School in Makueni  County were arraigned at the Makindu law courts on Tuesday and charged with an offence of torching school property.

The five were among 12 students who had been arrested after a dormitory at the school was razed down on Saturday night destroying belongings of 100 students who occupy the dormitory including mattresses and books.

The other students who had been earlier arrested but did not appear in court were set free after being cleared of blame during investigations.

The accused pleaded not guilty before Principal Magistrate Charles Mayamba and were released on a cash bail of Ksh.500,000 each.
