Edgar Obare arraigned at Kiambu Law Courts, charged with disclosing personal data
Controversial vlogger and social media sensation Edgar Obare was on Monday arraigned at the Kiambu Law Courts following his arrest last week.
Obare was charged with disclosing of personal data in the case where the complainant is Natalie Wanjiru, popularly known as Natalie Tewa.
He pleaded not guilty to the offence and, at the time of publishing, the court had been adjourned pending a bail hearing at 2pm.
Obare was arrested on Friday in Kisumu before he was taken to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters for questioning.
This came after he had taken to his Instagram stories with a string of posts alleging that a Kenyan female YouTuber was part of the entourage that visited ODM leader Raila Odinga in Dubai.
Others in the entourage included MP Junet Mohamed and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho who travelled aboard a chartered private Jet.
Obare was over the weekend detained at the Gigiri Police Station before his arraignment.
