DP Kindiki warns against incitement, urges leaders to safeguard constitutional order

Speaking during a Thanksgiving and Sunday worship service at the Gospel Outreach Church in Kyuso, Kindiki outlined the Kenya Kwanza administration achievements while calling for national unity and political responsibility.

“The macroeconomic state of our country has improved tremendously, with inflation now at its lowest level in 17 years.

 Prices of essential commodities, including food and fuel, have decreased, and the Kenyan shilling has stabilized,” the Deputy President said. He credited the improvements to government programs such as the Affordable Housing initiative and the export of skilled and semi-skilled labor.

Kindiki emphasised the importance of national cohesion, urging leaders and citizens to prioritise dialogue over conflict. 

“Moving forward, we must harness our national unity by focusing on what brings us together and resolving differences amicably and peacefully. The government will not discriminate against any part of the country in implementing development programs,” he affirmed.

The Deputy President warned against incitement and actions that would undermine Kenya's constitutional order. 

“As political leaders, we must guard our country from sliding into lawlessness and anarchy. Inciting citizens to resolve disputes through violence, chaos, and destruction of property contradicts the foundation of our Constitution,” he cautioned.

DP Kindiki also emphasised the government's ongoing healthcare reforms under the 'Taifa Care' initiative, which seeks to provide inclusive and affordable medical services to all Kenyans. 

He reported that 15 million citizens have already been registered under the program and urged more citizens to enroll.

“All rollout challenges are being addressed to ensure the program operates effectively and efficiently, so no Kenyan is left behind regardless of their economic situation,” Kindiki assured.

The service was attended by several dignitaries, including MPs Eng. Paul Nzengu (Mwingi North), Mwenda Gataya (Senator, Tharaka Nithi), Nimrod Mbai (Kitui East), Lilian Siyoi (Woman Representative, Trans Nzoia), Eric Wamumbi (Mathira), Patrick Munene (Chuka Igambang'ombe), Benard Kitur (Nandi Hills), Kitui County MCAs, and the county security team.

Deputy President Kindiki concluded his address by urging political leaders to set an example of unity and constructive engagement, emphasizing that Kenya’s progress depends on collective efforts and peaceful coexistence.
