Changamwe MP arrested for destroying voting materials

Police in Mombasa are holding Changamwe Member of Parliament, Omar Mwinyi, over claims of destroying voting materials at Bomu Primary School polling centre during the ongoing ODM nominations in Changamwe, Mombasa County.

According to Changamwe OCPD, Peter Omanwa, the Legislator was arrested after allegedly causing chaos claiming there was a plot to rig him out.

Omanwa says the lawmaker will also be charged with hiring goons to cause chaos.

Mwinyi is battling for the orange party’s ticket against Ally Goshi.
