4 suspects charged with vandalising billboards in Ruiru

Four suspects were on Tuesday arraigned in court for allegedly vandalizing billboards belonging to the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) in Ruiru, Kiambu County.

Appearing before Thika Chief Magistrate Theresa Murigi, the four; Muhoho Rubiro, Kenneth Gikunda, John Ng’ang’a and Mercy Ng’endo were charged with destroying five billboards belonging to area MP Simon Nganga King’ara.

They denied the charges and were released on on a cash bail of Ksh.20,000.

The case will be heard on November 7, 2018.

The accused were arrested last weekend while destroying the material.
