2 killed, scores injured as fire razes down nightclub in Kisumu

Two revelers died and several others injured after fire tore through a nightclub in Kisumu County on Wednesday morning.

It is feared that several revelers remain trapped in the building that houses Dream City Bar located at Kona Legio along the Kondele-Kibos road.

Four people were safely evacuated from the nightclub, when the blaze first hit the entertainment facility.

The cause of the fire which reportedly broke out at 4am is yet to be established.

Rescue operations by firefighters were ongoing at the time of going to press.

Kisumu County police boss John Kamau said investigations into the incident have been launched.
