What happened to Rose Muhando?

Gospel artiste Rose Muhando made a comeback months after she was discharged from a Tanzanian hospital.

According to The Citizen newspaper, Muhando left hospital in April, four months after reports emerged claiming that she was fighting drug addiction.

A controversial video allegedly filmed at the Neno Evangelism Centre had showed the gospel singer reportedly being exorcised of demons.

Mhando had been residing in Kenya after she claimed that she had received death threats from unknown people, the Citizen reported.

The gospel artiste kept away from the public after leaving hospital only to emerge in July for a church performance in Tanzania.

During her performance at Mlima wa Moto Mikocheni ‘B’, she sang one of her famous hits ‘Ndivyo Ulivyo’

A video of her performance uploaded on YouTube elicited praise from fans one of whom said: “Mungu apewe utukufu!!! Rose Muhando amerejea kwenye jukwaa! Ashukuriwe Mungu milele na milele!!! Twakupenda Rose hapa Kenya!”

Two months later, Muhando released a song in praise of Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Part of the song says: “Uhuru ooh Uhuru yabarikiwe milango yako. Ilindwe Kenya ilindwe milele ilindwe ifanikiwe mipaka yako. Milango wako ulifungua, mikononi ukanipokea Kenya ukanihurumia ubarikiwe malango yako. Mikono yako ulikunjua ukanisaidia Kenya ulinihurumia ufanilkiwe milango yako.”
