Diamond responds to Tiffahs paternity suit

Tanzanian music giant, Diamond Platnumz, has revealed that no one has approached him to conduct DNA tests on his newborn daughter, Princess Tiffah.

Speaking to Tanzania’s Clouds FM on Monday, the Bongo Flava icon said he has not been issued with a court order asking him to do paternity tests on Tiffah.

“I have not received any formal order from the courts asking me to conduct paternity tests on my daughter,” said the bongo star.

Diamond’s Ugandan wife, Zarina Hassan, delivered Tiffah on 6th August 2015. Their baby made a stir online, with many users congratulating the celebrity couple for the addition to their family.

King Lawrence, who is the cousin of Zari’s ex-husband, quickly raised questions about Tiffah’s paternity.

King Lawrence filed for a paternity test suit through Uganda’s Web Advocates & Solicitors, and a letter dated August 14th has been doing rounds online.

Diamond has, however, rubbished the letter terming it as a shallow publicity gimmick.

“We should all know people use the media for different purposes. Some use the platform to get publicity, just like the one we have seen of late,” said the singer.

He further asserted that the information making rounds online is completely false.

“It is not a bad thing (to seek publicity), but you know it should be done in such a truthful manner; not like the one we are seeing and reading – about a guy being so creative that he convinces people to believe his false claims,” vented Diamond.

The Mdogo Mdogo hitmaker went ahead to state that his partner, Zari, has never wedded before.

“Zari has never wedded before; those are just rumours doing rounds. I had asked her about the same claims, and she revealed she has never been married to anybody,” he said.

Diamond went ahead to say he does not delve into his lover’s past, and leaves it as a mystery – a secret of their happy union.

“When you are in a relationship with somebody, you should not dig into her past. We started a new life together, and at no single time have you ever seen any of my posts communicating ill about her (Zari). That explains why when I see stories doing round on social media about her, I consider them as lies; I don’t probe somebody’s past,” concluded Diamond.

His remarks come at a time when both Lawrence King and Zaris’ ex-husband (Ivan Ssemwanga) have claimed to have sired Zari’s newborn daughter.
