Nzoia Sugar FC captain Peter Gin has backed the team to return in better form when the suspended FKF Premier League resumes over the weekend.

Nzoia are on an awful run that has seen them sink to the bottom three places of the league standings after collecting just two points from their opening six matches.

But Gin says the three-week break has offered them an opportunity for self-reflection, backing the team to turn the tide.

“We are training together as a team and we are using this time to get our act together and get back to winning ways.

“We have a really young team that has a lot of talented youngsters. Somehow, we have been unable to get the results we want but we believe we can turn things around,” Gin said

Nzoia will host Kakamega Homeboyz FC on Saturday at the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma in one of six matches scheduled for the day.
