Octopizzo responds to Nameless about Wahu ‘dis’

After being called out by Nameless for ‘disrespecting’ Wahu in his Bingwa Awards rant, Octopizzo has come out to clear the air about what he actually meant when he mentioned the Sweet Love singer on his controversial social media post.

In an interview with a local radio station and a subsequent post on social media, the Ivo Ivo Ivo hit-maker said that his issue was with the category he was nominated in-not Wahu or any other artist in the category.

The Kibra-born rapper, who has been accused of being arrogant for turning down the best Comeback Artiste of the Year accolade, said that he should not have been nominated in that category because has been active all through his career.

On the allegation that he had disrespected Wahu by mentioning her in his viral rant, Octopizzo said: “I respect Nameless and respect Wahu. I’ve been a fan since class 8 and still a fan. I will vote for Wahu any day; not only her but all the female artists out there. I’ll always fight for you Queens Beli’Dat!”

Octopizzo reiterated his stand that changes need to me made in Kenya’s awards circuit saying: “Now let’s change the face of the awards in this country together for the love of our art”.

Though fans had initially bashed the flashy rapper for his rant, his response to Nameless’ post got him back in their good graces.

“I like your humility, maturity and your reconciliatory tone. I think Nameless didn’t understand what you meant anyway tunawapeda wote thanks for being gents. Hatutaki mabeefs! Good luck Namba Nane” said Kuria Symon.

“Real, true men apologize when they go wrong…From just reading Nameless’ reply to you referring the award to be given to Wahu, I just realized it was wrong. Mad respect for that,” posted Richards O’Lids Eshutchi.
