Emmy Kosgei’s daughter weds in glamorous Naija ceremony

Just two years after she tied the knot with Nigeria’s Apostle Anslem Madubuko, celebrated Kenyan singer Emmy Kosgei stole the show at another Madubuko wedding.
This weekend Kosgei’s stepdaughter, Sandra Madubuko, exchanged vows with the love of her life, Afolabi Laoye, at a glamorous Lagos wedding.
Sandra Madubuko said ‘I do’ to Laoye at the Revival Assemblies Church.
Breaking the news on her official Facebook page, Kosgei shared an image that was captioned, “At Our daughter’s wedding last Saturday! What a wedding! #naijatings #geletings”
Also in attendance was Emmy Kosgei’s dad, Bishop Jackson Kosgei.
These nuptials come two years after Emmy Kosgei’s grand Windsor Hotel and Golf Country Club wedding which was followed by a thanksgiving service at Madubuko’s Revival Cathedral Assembly at Ogba, Nigeria.
In May, the gospel industry couple was rumored to be divorcing, but Kosgei refuted the reports saying that the speculation was dubious and malicious.
“Everything in our marriage is going on normally and becoming even better every day. The rumours about divorce are just dubious and malicious, propagated by people of bad will,” she said.
“People talk a lot of things and much of it is very untrue. But I don’t dwell on such things,” she added.
Her choice to marry the 69-year-old pastor sparked controversy due to their age difference.
Apostle Anselm Madubuko, who is much older than the president and the deputy president, was turning 33-years-old when Emmy Kosgei was born.
Anselm Madubuko was widowed when he met Kosgei.
His wife, Connie Madubuko, died under unclear circumstances, though many suspect that she suffered from a cardiac arrest.
Anslem, who watched his last-born daughter Sandra tie the knot on Saturday, had two children prior to their marriage.
His first-born Velma Madubuko welcomed her first-born girl in May 2015.
