Three Nigerian superstars who are quickly gaining global traction with their music showcased why the rest of the world is paying attention to their talents.

On Sunday night, in front of a sold-out basketball-crazy crowd at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah, Afrobeats was on full display thanks to the 2021 Grammy Award-winning Burna Boy, Oscar-nominated Tems and hitmaker Rema.

The trio stole the show and definitely added new fans as they showed that African musicians are just as good as their American counterparts.

It was an all-African affair during the 72nd NBA All-Star Game as the National Basketball Association (NBA) decided to honour the continent's music.

Burna Boy was the first on stage with his usual energy-filled performance and performed some of his hits like "Anybody," “It’s Plenty,” and “Alone”.

He started his set by telling the crowd; "I'm about to take you on a journey to Africa without even going on a plane."

Rema followed with “Calm Down” and “Holiday” while Tems wowed with a medley of “Crazy Tings,” “Free Mind,” “Essence,” and “Higher”.

Burna Boy closed out the set with his massive global hit “Last Last” and at one point even part of the crowd could be heard trying to sing along showcasing just how much he has gained international appeal.

So enthralling was the performance that many of the NBA All-Stars players skipped the halftime break to catch the show.
