It’s a classic case of partners turned foes. I’m talking about the ongoing court battle pitting British American Investment Company (BRITAM) against its real estate development partner Acorn Group. And today, that battle saw the entry of the criminal investigations department which is now seeking to commence investigations into what Britam alleges to be fraudulent dealings orchestrated by Acorn group and private equity firm, Cytonn investment amounting to nearly 4 billion shillings.
