Zetech, Project 61, Sigalagala through to semi-final

Newly established Project 61 are still unbeaten as they secured a narrow comeback 12-10 win over the AP Warriors to secure their semi final spot in the Nationwide clash.

AP Warriors were first to strike and managed two unconverted tries in the early minutes of the game.

Hosts, determined to win at home,  managed two tries which saw one being successfully converted.

The win was sealed courtesy of Basil Simiyu's try which was converted by Daniel Onyango and Daniel Andaye's widely converted try.

In the other match, Sigalagala Pirates managed to protect their home pride after securing a strong 22-06 win over guests Makueni RFC.

The dominance of the hosts saw them managing one converted try and three unconverted tries.

Brill Esikuri saw himself on the score sheet with a brace and a conversion alongside Basil Okoth and Elvis Nguyagwe who managed unconverted tries each.

Makueni RFC managed two successful penalty kicks but they were not enough against the four tries as the match ended 22-06.

Against Zetech Oaks, Kisii Spilled the first blood with a well taken penalty kick and a drop goal at the fourth and ninth minutes to dominate the play 06-00.

In the 18th minute of the game, the Zetech managed to narrow the gap with an unconverted try to change the tally 05-06 before they displayed their dominance with two well taken penalties to lead 11-06 before half time.

In the second half, Kisii RFC also managed to spill the first blood to level the score 11-11 with an unconverted try at the 56th minute.

Zetech, with an urge to protect their home ground pride, managed a try at the 68th minute to stretch their lead 16-11.

Kisii side, determined to win the match, narrowed the gap in the 71st minute with a well taken penalty kick to change the scoreboard 16-14.

Zetech in the 74th minute managed their game winning penalty kick as they sealed their win 19-14.
