Nzoia out to crush Wazito in Premier League showdown

Nzoia are third on the league standings with 42 points after 23 rounds, seven behind the FKF Premier League leaders Gor Mahia.

The Sudi-based club has lost just three games so far after a dream start which Babu attributes to team work and discipline, and they are ready for Wazito assignment.

 “We did not play well against Bidco, we wanted maximum points but our plan did not work out but for us as a team, finishing in top position is good for us. The boys are ambitious, and ready to push for the League title,” he explained.

“We decided that we won’t struggle this season, we have been handling match by match, and we don’t want teams to pick points against us. That is the spirit going into Wednesday’s assignment,” Babu told Citizen Digital.

Wazito are second from bottom with 13 points from 22 outings and will be seeking to redeem themselves after falling 2-0 against FC Talanta in their weekend league assignment.

Stat attack: Four of Nzoia’s last five matches have produced under 2.5 goals. They have, however, scored five goals in those five matches; they have won twice, drawn twice, and lost once in those five matches.

Player to watch: Joseph Mwangi has scored nine goals for Nzoia this season.
