I have no time to quit – Odera insists as Wazito face relegation threat

Odera insists that he still has the confidence of both the club’s management and the players and hopes to stir the team out of the relegation zone at the end of the season.

“This is my team and the players we have signed have confidence in me as their coach. The management has hopes in me and I believe we are capable of performing. There is no room for quitting. I am confident of guiding my team to victory in the remaining nine matches,” said Odera.

The relegation-threatened side suffered a huge blow after conceding another 2-0 defeat to defending champions Tusker at Ruaraka Grounds on Wednesday.

The club has endured dismal results since April registering four losses and a draw in their last five FKF Premier League matches.

Wazito which is currently languishing in the 17th place in the table with thirteen points now hopes to turn their fortunes around as they prepare to grab a win at Ulinzi Stars in a match that will be played this Saturday.

The former Administration Police Service (APS) Bomet coach joined the Muhoroni-based club in February with a goal of redemption but he has managed two victories so far in 25 FKF Premier League matches he has been in charge of the club.

Following their poor run, Wazito now needs to be clinical in scoring goals as well as need some fortune to turn things around. They are currently running out of games and Odera’s men now need to find something special to avoid dropping to the National Super League at the end of the season.

Wazito is fighting relegation alongside Mathare United and Vihiga Bullets who currently sit at position 16 and 20 respectively on the table.
